Whilst strolling around Temple Bar with a friend I recently stumbled
across the latest addition to theNoodle Bar experience in Dublin.
The recently opened Miso - noodle and wine bar, is located at 30
East Essex Street, Temple Bar (Opposite Milano's). The menu is fresh
and vibrant and offers an array of dishes ranging from soups and
Thai curries to various noodle dishes. All dishes are well priced
and range from €5.95 for soups and side orders to €13.95
for noodle dishes. I ordered a side order of beef salad and the
Vietnamese Noodles for my main course. My companion chose the fish
cakes and the Egg Noodles. Our waitress was fun and pleasant
and helped us to make our choice. She also recommended the house
white to accompany our food. The side orders arrived first. I have
to say my Beef Salad was a refreshingly original taste sensation
- lemon marinated strips of beef with roasted red peppers and cashew
nuts. It
was delicious. The fish cakes were very tasty and were accompanied
by coriander and chilli mayonnaise. Our main courses were also exquisite.
My Vietnamese Noodles, which consisted of a variety of fresh vegetables
with a light dressing was very satisfying. My friend's egg noodle
dish consisted of lemon marinated strips of beef with vegetables
in a hot chilli sauce - I was allowed to sample and agreed that
it was really tasty.
The portions were very decent and well presented. The bill was pretty
decent too amounting to €58.60. Miso is the perfect location
for a relaxed, healthy meal at a reasonable price. I recommend it
strongly. I will certainly be returning for a second visit.
